Camille’s family was going through a lot when they first started working with Peggy St. Philippe from HSVS East Brooklyn Family Service Center. In particular, thirteen year old Calista was coping with the loss of her dad, the birth of a new baby sister and the adversities that come with being a teenager. Camille talked about her own struggles growing up and how she mostly raised her daughters on her own. “Now look at us,” said Camille looking proudly at her three girls, Calista, Miranda and baby Mattila, cuddled together on the couch. “We’re closer and stronger than ever.”
