Dareth is one of our outstanding ADP scholars. Dareth entered foster care at the age of three. By the time she turned 18 years old, Dareth had lived in over thirteen different foster homes and attended more than ten different schools. Currently, she is in her freshman year at SUNY Sullivan, and plans to pursue a joint BA/MBA degree in the hopes of becoming a Certified Public Accountant. Along with her career goals, Dareth also plans to give back by serving as a foster mother. Additionally, HSVS is proud to have named Dareth The Reverend Monsignor Robert M. Harris 2014 Youth of the Year. “I have defied all the statistics that society has established for someone like me,” declared Dareth. “I decided to define myself and not be defined by the social norms of others.”
