Donation and Volunteer Opportunities

Your company can support HSVS through a general financial investment, a targeted financial investment, an in-kind donation or by volunteering to serve our clients. Some general examples of volunteer and donation opportunities are listed below; however, HSVS has many other investment opportunities that may be a better fit for your company’s mission and values. You and your employees can volunteer at HSVS by:

Serving as a mentor to a young person in need of guidance
Leading workshops in financial literacy, college access, career preparation and social development
Mentoring the leaders on our Youth Advisory Board
Supervising our youth as interns at your company
Tutoring and advising our students
Teaching an educational workshop or sponsoring a recreational activity

Your company can support HSVS by:

Donating winter coats to our youth and families
Donating furniture to our youth transitioning into their first homes
Investing in our American Dream Program Scholars
Sponsoring camp for our elementary and middle school youth
Donating college dorm gear and care packages to our College Scholars

Join our Corporate Mentorship Program

Developed in tandem with Guggenheim Partners, our 12-month program helps our American Dream Program scholars prepare for their post-college career. Unlike their non-foster care peers, Mentorship Program Fellows do not have the professional connections or expendable financial resources to engage in internships and build valuable, supportive networks. This program allows these motivated scholars to see (and literally step into) a professional world that we take for granted.
