Suzanne John MHC-LP, MS, BA is a Pre-licensed Mental Health Counselor completing her final hours to obtain her licensure as a mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York. She obtained her Master degree at Long Island University for Mental Health Counseling, and her Bachelor’s degree at Andrews University where she majored in Psychology. She gained extensive clinical experience working in a private practice as a therapist within the last couple years. Suzanne also has over 12 years in the social services field working with clients with serious mental health issues (SMI) and chronic medical conditions and currently also is the Associate Vice President of Integrated Health Services at HSVS. At present, she provides therapy at HSVS to individuals and families alike, and has direct clinical experience with children, adolescents, teens and adults of all ethnic backgrounds. Suzanne’s greatest strength is the ability to empathize and listen to you as the client while getting to the root of the issue, no matter how challenging it may feel.
