My primary goal as a therapist is to be the catalyst for individuals and families to make the necessary changes to enhance their relationships and mental health.
I consider myself a “generalist,” with no necessary focus, however the ‘focus’ becomes the presenting problem and/or concern the client(s) brings forth. Therefore “individuals” and “families” have been my focus.
I have 22 years of experience as a mental health/behavioral therapist, initiating my journey with St. Vincent’s Mental Health as an intern and remaining with the agency since.
My therapeutic philosophy is to focus on the person first, considering the ‘person– that physical being–arrives with the issue, but my philosophy can shift to solution centered quickly depending on the concern.
