Monica Hofstadter

Monica Hofstadter, Creative Art Therapist

Mental Health Clinic

I believe in community care; that we are all interconnected and that we can find healing and new perspectives in safe environments and relationships. My approach to art therapy is relational, trauma informed, and individualized to meet a diverse range of needs. I focus on client strengths and accompany the client to explore their inner and outer worlds, following their lead in the process.  In previous experiences in clinical and community- based settings, I have worked with children, adolescents, young parents, seniors, and families. These experiences have instilled in me a strong belief of the therapeutic qualities of art to foster a sense of belonging and identity, inspire self-expression and interpersonal connection, and to provide an outlet for strong emotions.
